Men's Beauty Tips:

Face: Shaving, Skin Care and more:

  1. Tip in Total #1
There is something mysteriously intriguing about a man with a five o’clock shadow, but for some men, it’s more like a five o’clock disaster. If your hair grows back in a weird way or is different colors, try to maintain your facial hair by keeping a clean-shaven face.
  2. Tip in Total #2
Don’t be afraid to use concealer to hide any imperfections on your face - it’s not like you’re using lipstick, eye shadow, or blush. Everyone gets pimples, and everyone wants to hide them.
  3. Tip in Total #3
Start using moisturizer every day to maintain healthy skin. Men and woman both get wrinkles, so there is no reason not to take care of aging skin.
  4. Tip in Total #4
Start using facial cleansers for your face instead of using the soap you use on the rest of your body. You’ll have healthier skin as well as fewer breakouts.
  5. Tip in Total #5
Having bags under your eyes is a sign of not getting enough rest, so get a full 8 hours of sleep to look fresh and bright in the morning.
  6. Tip in Total #6
If you still have those irritating bags under your eyes, dab a little Preparation H under them. It works like magic!
  7. Tip in Total #7
When you’re going to be exposed to the sun, wear sunglasses. Sunglasses prevent you from squinting, and potentially causing more wrinkles on your face.
  8. Tip in Total #8
If you’re bold, you can wear a subtle oil-free foundation or translucent powder to keep the oil off of your face.
  9. Tip in Total #9
When you are shaving your face, use a razor with a moisturizing strip so that you are less likely to have irritated skin when finished.
  10. Tip in Total #10
While you want to keep the hair on your head growing, it’s preferable to keep hair from growing out of your nose. Use a specialized trimmer to keep your nose hair at bay.
  11. Tip in Total #11
Your eyebrows are two separate patches of hair, and you should keep them apart by tweezing regularly. Just remember, unibrows are only attractive on dogs.
  12. Tip in Total #12
Trim your eyebrows if they are big and bushy. Sometimes all you need to do is use a small pair of scissors to trim them down a little.
  13. Tip in Total #13
While blackheads might be harder to notice than acne, they’re still noticeable close-up. So use nose strips to rid yourself of unsightly blackheads.
  14. Tip in Total #14
Since you’re already using the trimmer, you might as well trim your ear hair in the process.
  15. Tip in Total #15
The old saying, "Never stick anything bigger than your elbow in your ear," is completely wrong! Clean the wax out of your ears with a q-tip every few days.
  16. Tip in Total #16
Eye cream moisturizers are great for reducing fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. When applying eye cream, make sure to use your ring finger because it’s the weakest, and too much pressure causes more wrinkles.
  17. Tip in Total #17
Get the blue eyes you’ve always wanted with colored contact lenses. Contacts have become some of the best accessories to this day, so don’t be ashamed to use them!
  18. Tip in Total #18
Eye liner is becoming very popular in the male community, and it’s not considered gay anymore! Just a little liner can make your eyes pop.
  19. Tip in Total #19
Using toner is a good way to rejuvenate your skin, and keep it oil-free. It comes in spray form, so all you need to do is spray a little on your clean face.
  20. Tip in Total #20
If clean-shaven isn’t your look, at least maintain your beard or goatee. Before trimming it, use conditioner to soften the hair, dry it off, then begin trimming.
  21. Tip in Total #21
After shaving, sometimes you’ll develop razor irritation - a.k.a. ingrown hair - that looks like acne. Obviously you want to prevent ingrown hairs, so be sure to shave with the hair instead of against it.
  22. Tip in Total #22
In addition to shaving with your hair, you should also avoid using dull blades and take it slow when shaving so to prevent irritation or bleeding.
  23. Tip in Total #23
Staying on the subject of sensitive skin, avoid products with lots of alcohol because they can cause even more irritation than not shaving correctly.
  24. Tip in Total #24
In your haste to rush through shaving, sometimes you might miss a spot or two and not even notice it. Always do a thorough check after shaving, and/or keep a razor in the car to pick up missed spots.
  25. Tip in Total #25
If you notice a few pimples starting to present themselves on your face, grab some toothpaste and dab a little on top of the new pimple to dry it out. Don’t forget to wash it off before you leave the house though!

Beauty tips for oily skin:
By AQSA SAEED:
If you have oily skin and would like to do something about this problem, here are some useful tips for you:
Oily skin need extra care,  so clean  only two or three times at most with a product made for your skin type. Washing more often will strip the skin of oil which stimulates the sebaceous glands to simply replace it.
Rinse thoroughly, then finish with a toner / astringent on oily areas of your skin. The astringent can be used all day to help control excess oil.
Oily skin is caused by glands that produce more secretions of the skin. This can lead to two heads in black and white developing on the skin. The good news is that oily skin is generally strong and durable and is less prone to develop wrinkles and expression lines. But just because you have oily skin does not mean you're doomed to acne forever. It simply means that after a routine health care of the skin that can help keep these additional secretions to a minimum.
Basic care of oily skin begins with washing your face at least twice daily and three times if possible. While oily skin can be tough, most of the ingredients higher in products skin care are not necessary and a regular cleaner can be used. If you are constantly fighting against acne, you can try a cleanser that has salicylic acid. Cleaning the face regularly is more important than using a cleanser for oily skin. However, soap and products with alcohol should be avoided. Soap can irritate the skin, while alcohol can dry the skin.
A very important advice for those suffering from oily skin is to never forget to remove your makeup before going to bed. Leaving the composition maintains the skin to breathe properly and blocking the pores can lead to the development of pimples or blackheads. No matter what time you get home or how tired you are, always make it a habit to remove your makeup at the end of the day.
Moisturizer is always important, even if you are dealing with oily skin. Try using a moisturizer for your skin type, which moisturizes your skin after other products have done their work to reduce the extra secretions.

Potatoes for Diabetics

Diabetics need to watch their carbohydrates, including potatoes. But, recent studies reveal good news for diabetics.
Hot potatoes raise blood glucose, but after cooked potatoes are allowed to get cold, they have a much lower effect on blood sugar levels.
Adding vinegar or vinaigrette dressing to cooked potatoes affects their starch content and causes them to have a much lower effect on blood sugar levels.
New potatoes and some white potatoes affect diabetics less than other potatoes.
Turning boiled potatoes into cold potato salad is one good step, adding vinegar to the potato salad is a second good step, and using new potatoes makes potato salad even healthier for diabetics.
When a store has an item on sale at a great price, buy only as much as you can use today or have enough room for today. Then, go back to the store on the last day of the sale, when the items are sold out, and get a rain check. That will allow you to buy more later at the sale price when you have room to store more.

Natural Hair Care

Gum in the hair can be removed by saturating it with baby oil, peanut butter, or mayonnaise.
If your hair is turning green from too much chlorine, rinse it with tomato juice, then a final rinse of water.
Remove static or the flyaways from your hair with hairspray - sprayed on your brush instead of your hair. Brushing the hairspray through your hair will make it manageable but not stiff.
An ionic hair dryer dries your hair much faster (which causes less damage) yet is still gentler to hair than the old-fashioned dryers.
Do not blow dry your hair when it is soaking wet. Heat on wet hair leaves your hair looking dull. Let the hair dry partly first.
All clarifying shampoos and most dandruff shampoos will remove artificial hair color.
Use clarifying shampoo occasionally to remove hair color build-up that weighs hair down.
The right hair conditioner makes all the difference. Thin or fine hair will just cling to your head and look flat with no conditioner at all. A regular conditioner will eliminate the static but still weigh your hair down. Fine or thin hair needs a light conditioner to be its fullest. Conditioner also makes any hair so much easier to comb.
With any condition except one for dandruff, try to use it on your hair but not your scalp. This will allow for fuller hair at the roots.
When drying your hair, use a towel to blot it dry instead of rubbing or wringing, in order to prevent breakage.
Hair is damaged less when using a brush only when it is wet or damp.
Tangles in very curly hair should be combed out when the hair is wet. Combing again after it has dried can make it frizzy and too full.
Curl your hair for instant "highlights" since curls catch the light from many more angles than straight hair.
Roots that are darker or lighter after coloring hair are less visible if your part is not perfectly straight. The zig-zag part is not necessary, just keep it messy.

Thicker Tresses

For thicker hair that grows faster, add two drops of rosemary essential oil to your hairbrush before brushing. Or, try Avalon Organic Botanicals Volumizing Rosemary Shampoo.
Hair will look fuller and thicker when you use a blow dryer if you bend over and dry the hair from underneath.
Don't use the blow dryer when your hair is soaking wet. Let your hair dry partially on its own first to prevent damage and flattening hair. Bending over to fluff up hair with your hands also separates strands for more fullness.
Alternate shampoos to help keep hair cleaner of shampoo build-up. A clarifying shampoo will take out all build-up, but it will also take out all temporary hair color.
For hair that never seems to grow longer, trim it a little occasionally. Split ends not only are unsightly, they break. Trimming your hair will make it look better (and will thicken it) and result in less breakage.

Prevent Tickle & Itch When Letting Hair Grow Out

A short hairstyle is fun for a while. When you want to grow the hair out for a longer style, you often give up because the hair hitting your neck feels terrible.

The easy way to stay comfortable while your hair is growing out is to curl it. Since curled hair is shorter than straight hair, this gives you lots of extra growing time. As it gets longer, you can make the curls tighter. An added bonus is that your hair actually gets longer when you curl it because it gets stretched a little.

Curling your hair into a flip will keep it off your neck better than curling it under. This keeps the soft part of your hair against your skin instead of the pokey ends.

When you do not have time to curl your hair, you can pin up the back or put it into a little ponytail.

Homemade Hair Recipes

Light Hair Spray: Simmer two sliced lemons in a pan of four cups of water for an hour. Pour into a spray bottle.
Add an ounce of vodka to homemade hair sprays so you don't have to keep them refrigerated.

Styling Spray: Mix 2 cups boiling water, a teaspoon of vinegar, and a teaspoon of unflavored gelatin. Put the mixture into a spray bottle.
Hair Clarifying Conditioner: apple cider vinegar gets rid of dirt and shampoo residue in hair (and helps control dandruff). Mix one part apple cider vinegar with two parts water. You can take a tumbler one third full of vinegar into the shower and fill it the rest of the way with hot water. After shampooing, rinse hair with the vinegar mixture and don't rinse with water. The vinegar smell will go away quickly.

Scalp Conditioner: Massage plain yogurt onto the scalp then through the hair. Cover hair with a plastic shower cap or saran wrap. Leave on for 30 minutes to an hour, then rinse it off.
Dandruff Control: Mix natural apple cider vinegar and water in equal parts. Douse your scalp, get the hair wet, and pile the hair on top of your head. Wrap your head with a towel to prevent drips, and let it stay on for an hour. Shampoo as usual. (See the "Dandruff" section on our home remedies site.
Get Rid of Gray Hair: (To bring back your own hair color.) Pour 2 cups of boiling water over 1/2 cup of dried sage leaf. (Boiling sage will decrease its effectiveness.) Let this simmer or a half hour and then steep for several hours. Apply the tea to gray hairs once it has cooled down. Don't rinse it out. Let the hair dry naturally, then rinse. Apply this tea once a week until you have the shade you want and then once a month to maintain the color. WARNING: Sage should be avoided if you have epilepsy, are pregnant, are nursing (or it will stop the milk), or if you have a fever (sage warms the body even more). * (see FOR CONTEMPLATION below.)
Get Rid of Gray Hair: (To bring back your own hair color.) Add 1 tablespoon of natural apple cider vinegar to 1 gallon of warm water, use as final rinse. Taking natural apple cider vinegar liquid or tablets regularly also helps keep your grays away.
* FOR CONTEMPLATION: "Sage tea use to be given to young men and young women during adolescence; for sage has the reputation of tempering sexual desire." Paula Johnstone

Foot Care Tips

Soak your feet in vinegar water. Add half a cup of vinegar (white or cider) to a pan of hot water and add feet.
Cutting your toenails is easiest after a bath, shower, or foot soak. These soften the nails.
When your shoes start hurting your toes, cut your toenails.
Wrap a corn with duct tape so that it even the sides are not exposed. Remove the tape and file the corn with an emery board, and add new tape.
Get rid of corns with a bread poultice. Add vinegar (white or cider) to a small piece of bread. Tape the wet bread to the corn and leave it on overnight. Repeat until gone.
To speed up corn removal, soak feet in hot water with vinegar added. After soaking for a half hour, use a pumice stone while the corn is under the water. If you don't have a pumice stone, you can dry your foot and file the corn down with an emery board.

Pretty Feet

One of the best things to improve the look of feet is a pumice stone. It will get rid of white, dry, flaky skin in a hurry.
Keep the pumice stone wet at all times by using it in the shower, bathtub, or a foot soak.
Rub the stone over the heel, under the heel a short way, next to the big toe, and around the outside edges of the foot.
If you feel the stone rubbing, you've gone far enough. You just want to remove dead skin and calluses. Finish with a good moisturizing lotion.
